You must have heard of exchange programs and knowledge sharing, but get ready to do it the startup way. YourStory.in presents to you the Geeks on a Plane. Sounds interesting, right? They are! Geeks on a Plane (#GOAP) is an invite-only tour for startups, investors, and executives to learn about technology markets worldwide. Initiated by 500 Startups, a startup accelerator from Silicon Valley, through this initiative founders Dave McClure and Christen O’Brien travel to technology markets with geeks and startup enthusiasts. The participants come from companies like GE, Wahooly, XG Ventures, SoftLayer, JESS3, Qualcomm Ventures, SendGrid, Google, Zenith Society and more.
These geeks together explore international startup scenes and collaborate with each other to improve cross-border opportunities. The geeks have so far visited Tokyo, East Asia, Middle East, Latin America, Eastern Europe and had come to India the first time in 2011. This is the second visit by geeks and YourStory.in will be hosting the geeks on Thursday, February 21 at 4 PM in Bangalore.
